1. Acceptance of terms

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

2. Description of the Services

Speech Sathi provides a platform to connect users with speech and communication-related resources, including informational content, account-based features, and tools that may support therapy workflows. The exact features available to you depend on your account type and region.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account.
• If you create or manage an account on behalf of a minor or dependent, you represent that you have authority to do so.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Services or other users.

4. Professional services and medical disclaimer

The Services are not a substitute for in-person emergency care. For urgent medical or mental health emergencies, contact local emergency services immediately.

Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of licensed professionals. Information on the site or in the product is for general and operational purposes unless your care team provides individualized guidance.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm others;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or other users’ accounts;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Services except as allowed by applicable law;
• Upload malware or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation.

6. Fees, subscriptions, and payments

Certain features may require payment. Prices and billing terms are presented at checkout or in your plan documentation. You authorize us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except as required by law or our stated refund policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, branding, text, graphics, and layout, are owned by Speech Sathi or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services as intended. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Services, consistent with our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, or operational reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and governing law) will survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Speech Sathi and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve (12) months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Speech Sathi and its officers, directors, and employees against claims arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Kathmandu, Nepal, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence where applicable.

14. General

If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains enforceable. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Speech Sathi regarding the Services and supersede prior oral or written understandings on this subject.
